Chariot Corporation has just hit the boards at the ASX with a $15m raise at 45c after pulling together an exquisite array of potentially lithium-bearing pegmatites scattered across 7 hard rock projects in Wyoming USA. The company also has a solid claystone lithium project in Nevada and Oregon in an area that is famous for lucrative lithium deposits. Notably, the board of Chariot mostly consists of former Macquarie USA heavyweights and also the founding director of lithium mega player Orocobre – now Allkem.

Shanthar Pathmanathan - Matt, pleasure to be here
Matt Birney - Okay, so Chariot Corporation has just hit the boards at the ASX with a $15m raise at 45c after pulling together an exquisite array of potentially lithium-bearing pegmatites scattered across 7 hard rock projects in Wyoming USA. The company also has a solid claystone lithium project in Nevada and Oregon and interestingly its board is full of ex-Maquarie USA heavyweights.
Matt Birney - Okay Shanthar I want to get into those projects in a minute but firstly I'm curious about this board of ex-Maquarie people, yourself included, what's the backstory here?
Shanthar Pathmanathan - We've got a US Lithium company with the largest landholder in the US for lithium. I worked at Maquarie with these gentlemen, I was extremely impressed with these two gentlemen in particular and have enlisted their help to join the board and we've come together for this company.
Matt Birney - I note one of them is ex-CEO of North America so no slouch, okay, let's talk about your Black Mountain project in Wyoming, looks to be your Flagship project. I know you've sampled some of those outcropping pegmatites, how many of them had color and what sort of grades are you seeing?
Shanthar Pathmanathan - We've sampled a total of 40 outcropping pegmatites and then processed 22 samples with spodumene and the grades have been stellar. The average grade was 2.16 per cent, the best grade was 6.68 per cent lithium oxide, all indicative of a large system at depth.
Matt Birney - Okay so Chariot also has six other projects apart from Black Mountain, hard rock lithium. How many have pegmatites outcropping and can you give me a sense of the number and scale across them?
Shanthar Pathmanathan - We control the state of Wyoming from a lithium perspective, we have seven projects, some 700 or more outcropping pegmatites, two of those projects have got historical documentation of spodumene at surface, South Pass and Black Mountain and the pegmatites vary in length from a couple hundred meters to up to a couple of kilometers in length and up to a couple hundred meters in width.
Matt Birney - Okay so in Northern Nevada and Southern Oregon, Chariot has the Resurgent lithium clay project, do you have any samples from that project and if so what sort of numbers are you seeing?
Shanthar Pathmanathan - We've got the second-largest land position in the McDermitt Caldera and we've sampled the northern part of that project, Resurgent North. We've taken 289 samples, 17 of them came back better at higher than 1,000 PPM with the cut-off grade for claystone-hosted lithium and the best grade there was 3,865 PPM lithium.
