Well, with the lithium price surging, Global Lithium has just dropped a definitive feasibility study on its massive Manna Lithium project, about 100km east of Kalgoorlie. Manna is already one of the largest lithium resources in the Eastern Goldfields and despite the tough lithium market, the company says its DFS numbers stack up and if the lithium spodumene price keeps moving north it will be game on and if the recent 70% hike since about the middle of the year is anything to go by, that just might happen quickly.

Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney, and I'm joined now by the Managing Director of Global Lithium, Dianmin Chen.
Matt Birney - Hi Dianmin.
Dianmin Chen - Hi Matt.
Matt Birney - Well, with the lithium price surging, Global Lithium has just dropped a definitive feasibility study on its massive Manna Lithium project, about 100km east of Kalgoorlie. Matt Birney - All right, Dianmin, we'll get to the DFS numbers, but firstly, what's the resource and the reserve at this project?
Dianmin Chen - Matt we have an exciting resource of 51.6 million tonnes at a 1% lithium oxide and 60% of those resource is in the indicated category. We have a total reserve of 19.4 million tonnes at 0.9% lithium oxide.
Matt Birney - Right. So you've just tabled a definitive feasibility study for Manna and it looks like you're going to churn out a 5.5% lithium spodumene product. What price assumption per tonne did you use in your feasibility study? And what's the lithium spot price now for 5.5% spodumene?
Dianmin Chen - We have used $1,253 a tonne. SC5.5. The current price is $1,100.
Matt Birney - Now, take it those are US dollars.
Dianmin Chen - Yes.
Matt Birney - What's your break even price for a tonne of 5.5% spodumene?
Dianmin Chen - It's $738 a tonne.
Matt Birney - Again, US, right? All right. Well, let's get into some rapid fire questions and answers from the DFS. Firstly, what's the pre-production CapEx?
Dianmin Chen - The pre-production capital will be $440 million.
Matt Birney - How long will it take you to pay that money back?
Dianmin Chen - It will take 3.5 years to pay back.
Matt Birney - What's the predicted mine life? How many years?
Dianmin Chen - We have a total mine life of 14.3 years.
Matt Birney - And how much free cash is this thing going to spit out a year on average over those 14.3 years?
Dianmin Chen - We have 80 million Australian dollars a year.
Matt Birney - And what's the net present value of those free cash flows in today's money?
Dianmin Chen - We have a total NPV8 $472 million tonnes for the project.
Matt Birney - Who will you sell the product to? What does your ideal customer look like?
Dianmin Chen - We have a project. We have a tech partner called Canmax Technologies which is the biggest lithium chemical producer in the world.
