RADIO INTERVIEW - TRANSCRIPT
Matt Birney - Welcome to Bulls N' Bears, brought to you today by gold explorer at Golden Dragon Mining
Matt Birney - ASX code: GDR
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and I'm joined now by the Managing Director of Golden Dragon, Simon Buswell-Smith.
Matt Birney - Hi, Simon.
Simon Buswell-Smith - Oh, hi Matt. How you going?
Matt Birney - I'm good. Okay, so Golden Dragon Mining is a WA gold explorer working the Cue Gold Project in the Murchison, not far from the old Big Bell gold camp and a string of million-ounce neighbours. Management has been drilling two advanced targets, Coodardy and Behring Bore, chasing shallow, high-grade gold in a big structural corridor. The latest news is from Coodardy, where second-phase RC drilling has turned up a fresh high-grade horizon and a new set of numbers.
Matt Birney - All right, Simon, we'll get to those numbers in a minute, but firstly, what exactly did this second drill program at Coodardy consist of? How many holes? How many meters? And what we drilling for?
Simon Buswell-Smith - So 24 holes for about 1,900 meters. And we're targeting the north south mineralization, but also picking up on these high-grade shoots that we've just really starting to get a handle on.
Matt Birney - All right. Well, hit me with the best number, the headline number from the latest drill campaign. What was it?
Simon Buswell-Smith - We got a stellar intersection. We got 12 meters at 6.5 including four at 17.6 and that's from 44 meters.
Matt Birney - Good number. What about close to the surface? What were the best shallow numbers?
Simon Buswell-Smith - We did. We got some great shallow surface intersections as well. So we got 28 at one from surface including 12 at 1.9, 32 at 1.01 from 4 meters including 4 meters at 1.93 and 12 at 1.36 from 24 meters as well.
Matt Birney - Yeah
Simon Buswell-Smith - Great intersections. Yeah. And what it demonstrates is it's very shallow mineralization daylighting essentially.
Matt Birney - Now, when I look at that 12 meter at 6.5 gram headline here on a, on an overview, it looks like it's part of a load that's dipping down. Firstly, is that right? And if it is, what sort of numbers did you get up that load? And is it still open down dip?
Simon Buswell-Smith - Yeah. So, this is the greatest biggest development from the program that we hadn't had a handle on this northeast trending high-grade shoot. So, if you look up plunge and I stress to look at our ASX release, there's eight at 10.82 including four at 21 up plunge I guess and there's no drilling down plunge so it's there's lots of upside there.
Matt Birney - So if you pull back from that Coodardy prospect for a second into the wider Cue opportunity for the company, how many other targets have you got and what's the prospective size of this thing?
Simon Buswell-Smith - Yeah we've spent a lot of time generating targets so we've got 14 targets and we've got 50 kilometers of these shear zones, these deep seated shear zones that the same that host the Big Bell gold deposit which is collectively has 5 million ounces on it and is our neighbour.
Matt Birney - When will you get another hole into this thing?
Simon Buswell-Smith - As soon as possible really. Yeah, we're just just getting a handle on things. But yeah, we're we're really we want to get out there as soon as possible really.
Matt Birney - Simon Buswell-Smith from Golden Dragon Mining.
Matt Birney - Thanks for joining me on Bulls N' Bears and remember we're only here to give you information, not advice, which you should of course seek independently.
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and this is Bulls N' Bears.
