Pacgold: A rare intrusive gold deposit with breadth, depth and serious upside!
Pacgold Managing Director Matthew Boyes on 3AW & 6PR Bulls N' Bears Report
Listen to ASX-listed Pacgold Managing Director Matt Boyes walk Matt Birney from Bulls N’ Bears through his latest QLD gold drill results that are littered with big numbers close to surface and at depth – and it’s an intrusive gold play so it could be big!

Pacgold’s Alice River Gold Project north west of Cains in Queensland is showing all the early signs of a significant gold discovery. The geology is largely the rarer intrusive style gold that can sometimes throw up biblical scale deposits like Northern Star’s 9m ounce Hemi discovery in WA. Pacgold’s opening salvo of drilling for 2025 at its Central target – just one of many – is pointing to a deposit that has both serious depth and breadth.
RADIO INTERVIEW - TRANSCRIPT
Matt Birney - Welcome to Bulls N' Bears brought to you today by gold explorer Pacgold
Matt Birney - ASX code: PGO
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and I'm joined now by the Managing Director of Pacgold, Matt Boyes
Matt Birney - Hi Matt
Matt Boyes - Yeah hi Matt, great to be back on
Matt Birney - Okay so Pacgold’s Alice River Gold project north west of Cains in Queensland is showing all the early signs of a significant gold discovery. The geology is largely the rarer intrusive style gold that can sometimes throw up biblical scale deposits, a bit like Northern Star’s 9 million ounce Hemi discovery in WA. Pacgold’s opening salvo of drilling for 2025 at its Central target – just one of many – is pointing to a deposit that has both serious depth and breadth.
Matt Birney - Okay Matt I can see to the south of this Central target, you look like you've poked the bear pretty consistently over about 300 meters. What are the best numbers down to the south of that Central target?
Matt Boyes - Yeah Matt its really delivered some fantastic results in its first round of drilling at the Central target. We've got some numbers included this year, one in ARDH 101. We've got a 48 2.2 which also includes a 15 meters at five and a couple of meters at 30 grams which is outstanding. We've got another 74 meters at 0.8, we've had two at four included there and also just about 100 meters to the north of that, we've got another 26 at 1.1 and including 11 meters at 1.6. All these results are very close to the surface as well and within the existing mineral resource pit shell.
Matt Birney - And it looks like you hit it again about I'm guessing 80 or 90 meters to the north of that 26 meter hit, what was your best number up there?
Matt Boyes - Oh yeah it keeps going, you know this thing's got a lot of scale potential to it Matt, I mean we hit 13 meters at two and 100 meters to north and we've kept drilling further north from there as well.
Matt Birney - Is that the full extent of the mineralization discovered to date or does it go further north?
Matt Boyes - Oh absolutely not. No look the mineralization, we track this mineralization well and truly outside of this central area but another 300 meters to the north of that 13 meters hit, we've hit 18 meters at 1.1. And again importantly these these results are within 50 meters of surface and so you know they're bulk tonnage results, good wide intervals and they're also good strong grades as well so you know there is there's huge potential here.
Matt Birney - Speaking of close to surface it looks like this thing keeps going at depth too, what are the best numbers that are deeper?
Matt Boyes - Yeah the mineralization sits within at least two to three shoots that we know so far And some of the best results at depth are, you know they got some outstanding numbers. Some of the historical results are 26 at 8 grams, got 44 at 7 grams, 46 at 2.8 and even below that some really large widths as well. You've got 114 meters at 1.8. And so yeah there's massive potential down depth as well.
Matt Birney - I can see there's a huge fault that looks like it runs all the way through your ground. Best I can see it sort of tracks for about 25 or 30 kilometers and I can see you only tested a little bit of that, so I look forward to seeing some future results.
Matt Birney - Matt Boyes from Pacgold
Matt Birney - Thanks for joining me on Bulls N' Bears and remember we're only here to give you information, not advice, which you should of course seek independently.
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and this is Bulls N' Bears.
