Matt Birney - Welcome to Bulls N' Bears brought to you today by mineral explorer Marmota Ltd
Matt Birney - ASX code: MEU
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and I'm joined now by the Executive Chairman of Marmota, Colin Rose
Matt Birney - Hi Col.
Colin Rose - Good afternoon Matt. Very nice to be here.
Matt Birney - Okay Colin, so you’ve been champing at the proverbial drill-bit to get some maiden drill holes into Marmota’s Greenewood gold prospect in South Australia’s Gawler Craton, very close I think to your flagship Aurora Tank prospect. You’ve done that. Hit me with the best drill numbers.
Colin Rose - So, we'd be getting stunning numbers. 24 meters at 12 grams a tonne starting from 20 meters from surface. That's really close to surface and long thick intersections and then 28 meters at 5.6 grams a tonne from 24 meters downhole including grades of 4 meters at 29 grams a tonne. So, really good numbers.
Matt Birney - Yeah. Now, that 28 meters at 5.6, looking at it on a map, that would appear to be the northernmost result that's been reported to date. And I can see a whole heap of yellow dots around that one, which tells me you got a lot more results coming from that area. Is that where you, is that the area where you see an opportunity to grow? And when will you get those results back?
Colin Rose - Absolutely. We have a whole bunch of holes around that still coming in. 52 holes still coming in. We expect to get those results in the next approximately 3 weeks, really soon.
Matt Birney - Now, just how far is this project from your Aurora Tank prospect? And do you see an opportunity to potentially combine the two in a future mining operation?
Colin Rose - Absolutely. So, Aurora Tank is our flagship gold deposit with bonanza grades of over 100 grams a tonne in more than five areas. It's about 35 km away. We're progressing it as a low-cost heap leach operation and I think they'll combine brilliantly.
Matt Birney - Now, I know Marmota also has that Muckanippie titanium heavy mineral sands discovery in that general area in South Australia, which might add a whole new dimension to the company. Very quickly, what are the best drill hits in that titanium heavy mineral sands project?
Colin Rose - We've got massive intercepts. Things like 37 meters at 45% heavy minerals starting at surface, 34 meters at 19%. These numbers are off the planet and we're really excited about this.
Matt Birney - Yeah, I mean that to my mind that looks like you, potentially, even a global scale titanium heavy mineral sands project.
Matt Birney - So well done to you Colin Rose from Marmota.
Matt Birney - Thanks for joining me on Bulls N' Bears and remember we're only here to give you information, not advice, which you should of course seek independently.
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and this is Bulls N' Bears.
