Flashpoint - Edition #19

Updated: Aug 8

The purchase of a Canadian lithium project sent one ASX-listed company soaring this week while another stock showed there is money to be made in keeping the wheels turning… in style.

FLASHPOINT - TRANSCRIPT

Tim - But first here's Steve Butler with the ASX Runners of the Week, thanks to Argonaut.

Steve Butler - Thanks Tim.

Steve Butler - Blaze Minerals caught fire this week, rocketing up 180 per cent after agreeing to buy a lithium project in Canada ... lock, stock and barrel. Its share price touched 2.8 cents after closing last week at one cent.

Steve Butler - BMG Resources leapt more than 84 per cent after hitting pegmatites during its drilling program in the Eastern Goldfields. The move saw its stocks go from 1.3 cents to hit a high of 2.4.

Steve Butler - Geelong-based wheel manufacturer Carbon Revolution was another jumping 84 per cent after establishing a $91 million debt facility to fund further expansion and automation. Its share price went from 12.5 cents up to 23.

Steve Butler - And Runners of the Week regular Mamba Exploration jumped more than 66 per cent after finding wide and shallow rare earths mineralisation at its project in the West Australian Wheatbelt. After starting the week at 10.5 cents, it jumped to 17 and a half.

Steve Butler - You might not know too much about rare earths now, but the growing buzz around them suggests savvy investors will soon be getting a bit more dirt under their fingernails.
